THE SOUND OF COLORS.
Sometimes our animals work with our souls & Guides to bring us messages.
Foxy Cleopatra, our elderly red dog, is slowly losing her eyesight. I've had many conversations with her regarding her health and if there is anything that she might need. I must say, I've been a little overly concerned because I was reflecting on how I would feel if I were losing my vision.
The other day I made my way to my favorite place of worship, the library. I picked up several books for references & inspiration for a drawing project I am doing. Halfway to the checkout, a picture book on the shelf caught my eye. The book was called The Sound of Colors. I only glanced at it since I was in a hurry. The cover was striking and there was something about the imagination in the subtitle, so I grabbed it, being one that loves color and using the imagination for creating.
Back home, I almost forgot about the book, lost in my "to do" pile until a strong thought came in my mind to retrieve the book. Shivers ran through me when I read the first page:
"A year ago, I began to notice that my sight was slipping away. I sat at home alone and felt the darkness settle around me. But today I walked outside into the gray rain and made my way to the subway. I have a journey to go on. There are some things I need to find."
and the end quote:
"She'll take me to the friend I need to find. She'll lead me to the place where all the colors are. She'll bring me back to the light that I lost, still glowing there, in my heart."
Awesome. Foxy was only starting a new journey.

FAIRY HEALING LESSON: GROUNDING
Older dogs and people have a tougher time bringing their full energies into their bodies. You may see this in forms of limping or difficulty getting around. I learned from Foxy & my Fairy-fabulous guides that we can help them "evenly distribute" their energy.
Make sure your dog is lying down or sitting. Ask first if you can touch their feet and hold their feet gently. Two at a time depending on dog size! If your dog doesn't like the idea, hover your hands right over the feet. Direct the energies down from the top of the head into the feet. Now, visualize the chakras in the bottom of the paws is opening up and cords are running through into the ground to connect to the great earthy energies. If your dogs' feet were cold, you can be sure the energy got stuck. Always make sure you open the feet chakras first. We learned this the hard way unfortunately. I gave Foxy a Reiki treatment on her feet and she had leg cramps for awhile.
This exercise works for us too! When you are too in your head, (feeling headache-y, worrying, or using lots of mental concentration) pay attention to your feet and open the chakras. I found Yoga and walking to be two wonderful ways to get back into my feet., and then into my body.
